A 25-year-old father and his 11 month-old baby son, were shot and killed at Dundonald Hill, St James, last night.
The dead were identified as Joseph Sutton and his son, Jayden Sutton.
Homicide Bureau officers said Sutton and his baby were attacked late on Sunday night. Both were taken to hospital where they later died.
Two weeks ago, Sutton survived another shooting in St James. On March 16, Sutton and 25-year-old Ronaldo Amoroso, also known as “Ren”, were shot during an altercation at Upper Dundonald Hill, St James, around 8.30 p.m.
According to police reports, Sutton and Amoroso were among a group of men in the area when a dispute broke out and escalated into a fight.
During the confrontation, one of the men pulled out a gun and opened fire, hitting both Sutton and Amoroso.
The two men were taken to hospital for treatment and were later discharged.
Homicide officers are now trying to determine whether Sutton’s killing last night was connected to the earlier shooting.
The murder toll stands at 84.
