Arima has suffered far too long under Penny Beckles and the PNM. More than a decade in office, yet the town centre remains underdeveloped, the market neglected, vendors unsupported, and nightlife and local business opportunities stagnate.
Carnival, the heartbeat of Arima’s culture, has been poorly managed and turned into a political football. That is the legacy of leadership that prioritizes politics over people.
Compare that to the past ten months under Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and the UNC government. In less than a year, Arima and communities nationwide have seen action.
Local economies receive attention, vendors gain support, cultural events are revitalized, and real development reaches the people. Leadership under our people’s Prime Minister delivers results, not excuses.
Penny Beckles speaks loudly against Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar and the UNC government but has produced nothing for her constituents.
Empty rhetoric cannot replace tangible progress. Arima deserves leaders who act, who deliver, and who put the people first.
The choice is clear. Arima must wake up. Reject Penny Beckles and the failed PNM. Support leadership that works for the people.
Under Prime Minister Kamla Persad-Bissessar, the people win. Under the PNM, the people lose.
