Dear Sir/Madam
Not satisfied with the havoc they wreaked on the nation, the UNC administration is now playing Russian Roulette with the goodwill of Tobagonians with the disappointing replacement of the Cabo Star.
For the record, despite the denigration of the vessel, the Cabo star was reliable, did not crash and took less time.
But this Chinese junk crashed on the first trial, broke down on the second, third and fourth, and now for the umpteenth time they running with hydraulic lifts of some kind, as though no one did a due diligence to provide accurate particulars of the berthing facilities.
If this isn’t maritime madness, well,… what are they waiting for ?.. For it to sink?
The new and improved Blue Wave is anything but that. It is a travesty and a disrespect to Tobagonians and the UNC fully knows that they are on thin ice.

It’s worse than the PNM and their commesse. Just know you will hear Prince Phillip, say well, “there’s almond milk on the shelves”, so don’t panic and it’s just trials.
This seafaring nightmare foisted on the people of Tobago is being treated with the same kind of indifference and PR used in Trinidad.
While making lackeys of truckers to load and unload cargo, losing perishable items and frustrating people, the Government posts glossy pictures of garbage collection, beach chair rental interventions and a squadron of Police and License officers on Maracas pretending to “keep everyone safe”, but really the intent was to share as many tickets as possible to make up for what they may have lost over the 4 day Carnival period.
God help us: the UNC has failed on every count.
Linda Capildeo,
St James
