Cabinet should take the strategic decision to position Trinidad and Tobago as the commercial hub of the Caribbean by inviting all members of Caribbean Community to participate in a major CARICOM Trade Show hosted in Trinidad and Tobago, where regional manufacturers and local producers can display their best products, forge distribution partnerships, and expand export opportunities across the region.
This initiative would showcase T&T’s manufacturing strength, stimulate regional trade, attract investment, create jobs, and strengthen economic integration within CARICOM.
Rather than allowing foreign markets to dominate our shelves, this Trade Show would signal a decisive shift toward building a strong Caribbean supply chain, with Trinidad and Tobago leading the charge as the region’s primary marketplace for innovation, production, and commerce.
