Alabama Child-Killer to be Executed Tonight

…..”But Akiel Chambers’ suspect still outside”

By FRANCIS JOSEPH

It is almost a most distributing story when children are murdered.

In Trinidad, we have seen and read about the disturbing murders of children – Akiel Chambers, Sean Luke, Amy Annamunthodo, to name a few. Yet no one has gone to the Gallows for these crimes. In Akiel’s case, no one has ever been charged with his death, although the authorities have a living suspect. That killing took place in 1998 at Haleland Park, Maraval.

But in the United States, there is one child killer who is going to be executed tonight by lethal injection.

Jeremy Williams, left, Kristy Marie Siple, and Kamarie Holland

He is Jeremy Williams, who was found guilty of the murder of a five year-old girl, Kamarie Holland in Alabama. Kamarie was reported missing after being last seen at her home on December 13, 2021. That same night, Kamarie was found dead in an abandoned house in Alabama. Police investigations later led to the arrest of Jeremy Williams, aged 42, who used to live in the house. Kamarie’s mother Kristy Marie Siple, 40, was also arrested as a suspect after her involvement in her daughter’s death was discovered.

It was revealed through investigation and during the trial that on the night of December 12, 2021, the day before Kamarie was reported missing, Siple agreed to allow Williams to rape her daughter. Williams, who filmed the sexual acts, then killed the girl by strangulation after raping and sodomizing her.

On the morning after the murder, Kamarie was reported missing by her mother, who lied to the police that she last saw her daughter before she went to sleep about midnight and awoke to find her daughter gone and the front door open. An extensive search was conducted, and on that night itself, the child’s body was found inside the same house where Williams raped, sodomized and murdered her. The police were able to identify Williams as the prime suspect and arrested him for the murder shortly after.

Before the revelation of her involvement in the rape-murder of Kamarie, Siple took part in an interview and under the pretense of a mournful and heartbroken mother, she tearfully claimed that Kamarie was the essence of her life, and could not process what happened to her.

Williams was found guilty of murder and rape and other charges, and sentenced to death in April 2024, while Siple, who was originally charged with murder, pleaded guilty to sex trafficking and sentenced to 20 years’ imprisonment in July 2024.

In 2025, Williams petitioned to waive his right to appeal and asked to be executed. The appellate courts upheld his death sentence and found him mentally competent to forgo his appeals and be executed. On June 18, 2026, his execution is scheduled to take place on August 13, 2026.

It was revealed that Williams was formerly charged in a child abuse case. He was first charged in 2009 and acquitted by a jury in 2012.

Williams was also a suspect behind the alleged killing of his one-month-old daughter, Naudia Trenice Williams. The killing reportedly took place in January 2005 in the North Pole, Alaska. During the original investigations, the North Pole Police Department found blunt force injuries but later ruled the death as “undetermined,” due to insufficient evidence and Williams’s refusal to attend polygraph tests and police interviews.

After his arrest for Kamarie’s murder, the investigations in Naudia’s death reopened and hence, Williams was charged with second-degree murder, and a grand jury formally indicted Williams for killing Naudia in December 2022.

On October 26, 2022, Williams was once again arraigned in court on fresh sexual abuse charges, which consisted of rape, sodomy, and sexual abuse of a child under the age of six, after Williams was found to be involved in another sexual assault case that occurred in an undisclosed year.

Before his trial was set to commence, Williams filed a motion in December 2022, seeking to be removed from suicide watch, which he had experienced for nearly ten months after the prison authorities deemed that his behaviour was suicidal from the onlook.
