The Coast Guard rescued a woman in distress at Scotland Bay on Wednesday.
According to reports, the Coast Guard responded to report that a woman was in difficulty in the water off Scotland Bay.
A Coast Guard interceptor was immediately deployed and rendered assistance to the woman who was found aboard a pirogue.
First aid was rendered to the woman. She was later transported to Coast Guard Headquarters at Staubles Bay. She was taken taken to the St James Medical Centre by ambulance.
Sunshine Today was informed that the woman has recovered.
