Four men were killed in the space of hours between Friday and Saturday in Arima and Fyzabad sending the murder toll to 238.
No one has been arrested, although the police are searching for three Venezuelans in connection with the Fyzabad killings.
A late-night shooting in Arima left two men dead. The victims were identified as Junior Aldwyn Castillo, also known as “Roti,” of Heights of Guanapo, and Keith Benjamin Spencer, of Second Street, Oropune Gardens, Piarco.
According to police reports, shortly before 3 a.m. on Saturday, a report was received of a shooting in progress along Farfan Street, Arima.
First responders were dispatched to the area and arrived to find the two men lying motionless on the ground. Both were pronounced dead at the scene by a district medical officer.
CCTV footage of the shooting showed several persons awaiting their orders by a roadside vendor when a man walked up and shot one of the victims in the head.

As the crowd scattered, the suspect shot and killed another man. The shooter then escaped. The DMO ordered the removal of the bodies of the two men to the Forensic Science Centre for autopsies on Monday.
While police have no confirmed motive for the double murder, investigators believe it was gang-related. One officer told Sunshine Today, “the way that shooter approached his victims meant that he was carrying out an execution. It means he would have followed his victims to the location, carried out his act, before escaping.”
Investigations are continuing.
DOUBLE KILLING IN FYZABAD
A confrontation outside a Fyzabad car wash turned deadly on Friday after two men were beaten to death by three Venezuelan men.
The dead men were identified as 38-year-old labourer Richard Mc David, of Julai Trace, Fyzabad, and 30-year-old labourer Anslem Nicholas, of Easy Street, Fyzabad.
According to police reports, the incident began around 4 p.m. on Friday, when the two men were walking along Delhi Road, Fyzabad, near Kings Car Wash.
According to a witness, Mc David and Nicholas became involved in an argument with another person. The situation escalated when three men emerged from the car wash compound and approached Mc David and Nicholas.
The witness said the three men attacked Mc David and Nicholas, beating them during the physical confrontation with a piece of wood.
The witness attempted to intervene, but by then both men had suffered serious injuries. The three attackers, all Venezuelans, then escaped.
The injured men were subsequently placed in a vehicle and taken to the Fyzabad Police Station.
Around 6:20 p.m., the witness arrived at the police station and alerted officers that the two injured men were inside the vehicle.
Police found both men suffering from multiple serious injuries and immediately arranged for them to be taken to the Siparia District Health Facility.
Their conditions, however, deteriorated.
Mc David was pronounced dead at 8:35 p.m., while Nicholas died five minutes later at 8:40 p.m.
Medical personnel documented extensive injuries on both men, including abrasions, puncture wounds and signs of internal trauma.
Doctors determined that the injuries were consistent with blunt-force and penetrating trauma.
PC Osbourne, of the Homicide Bureau is investigating.
