Penny Beckles-Robinson, political leader of the PNM, is being asked to fire PNM Arima Mayor Balliram Maharaj for attending the UNC Christmas dinner last December.
Well, Penny’s hands may be tied.
Penny, who was Arima MP at the time, attended a curry duck lime hosted by Oropouche East MP, Dr Roodal Moonilal, on December 7, 2013.
We didn’t hear anyone call on then political leader, Dr Keith Rowley, to get rid of Penny.
So Ashton Ford, a former secretary of the PNM and Arima MP, just relax. Don’t call for Penny to fire Maharaj. Despite all the bickering and cross talk and press releases and posts, all politicians seem to be friends.
