Cabinet must immediately reset

Cabinet must immediately reset how public money is spent by prioritising efficiency, revenue generation and private sector participation.

Government should halt the construction of large, costly state buildings and instead rent existing private facilities, eliminating the long term burden of maintenance while stimulating private investment and innovation.

At the same time, underutilised national assets such as the Priority Bus Route should be modernised into a pay to use toll corridor using radar and electronic licence plate technology, ensuring fairness, traffic management and new revenue streams.

In parallel, government must open and modernise access to markets across Trinidad and Tobago, making it easy for farmers, vendors, artisans and small businesses to buy and sell goods legally and efficiently.

The objective is simple: reduce wasteful capital expenditure, unlock private sector energy, and create a more productive, revenue generating economy.
