Dear Ms Wilson,
I write in response to your publication titled “A Nation Misled and Tricked into Bloodshed & Hardships,” disseminated via the platform Anything News, in which you have attributed statements to Dr Jack Austin Warner.
Let me be unequivocally clear: the quote you have attributed to Dr Warner is false, unauthorised, and defamatory. At no time did Dr Warner make the statement ascribed to him, nor did he grant permission—express or implied—for his name to be used in the manner presented.
Your publication has therefore crossed the threshold from commentary into actionable defamation. By falsely attributing words to Dr Warner, you have exposed him to reputational harm, public ridicule, and potential political and social consequences. This is not a matter of interpretation or opinion; it is a matter of fact, and your conduct falls well outside the bounds of responsible journalism or commentary.
Accordingly, you are hereby formally notified and required to do the following:
- Immediately remove the offending article from all platforms under your control, including Anything News and any associated social media channels.
- Issue a full and unequivocal retraction, clearly stating that the quote attributed to Dr Warner was false and improperly published.
- Publish a public apology to Dr Warner, with the same prominence as the original post.
- Confirm in writing, within 24 hours of receipt of this letter, that these steps have been taken.
Failure to comply with these demands will leave Dr Warner with no alternative but to pursue all available legal remedies. This will include, but not be limited to, proceedings for defamation, damages for reputational harm, and injunctive relief to prevent further dissemination of the false material.
Be advised that courts take a particularly dim view of fabricated quotations attributed to public figures, and the evidentiary burden in such matters will rest squarely upon you.
This letter is your final chance to resolve this matter promptly and avoid escalation. Should you choose otherwise, legal proceedings will be initiated without further notice.
Govern yourself accordingly.
Yours faithfully,
Jack Austin Warner PhD
