There is another question consumers should be asking at the gas station: Are we actually receiving the number of litres we are paying for?
Motorists often notice that the same amount of money does not appear to give the same result from one gas station to another.
Is this simply a difference in vehicle, traffic or driving conditions, or is there something else that needs to be investigated?
Government must ensure that every pump is properly tested and calibrated. Consumers should be confident that when they pay for 20 litres, they receive 20 litres.
If there is nothing wrong, then prove it through regular and transparent inspections.
The consumer should not have to wonder whether the pump is giving him the litres he paid for.
A LITRE MUST BE A LITRE — NOTHING LESS
