I refer to the confrontation between a maxi taxi driver and Licensing Officers at SMR on Monday. I am asking any conscientious lawyer out there to reach out to stand with the maxi taxi driver to defend him against the slew of charges they will trump up against him.
This is not because I support lawlessness on the roads or anywhere, but the Government through Ministers like Eli Zakour and Dave Taxcoo and Kennedy Sewerratsingh through the imposition of fines and penalties have been sending motorists and homeowners mad.
They have weaponised services like licensing worse than the PNM, to really oppress people so they can get cash to support the government and its juts plain wickedness they trot out, about :law abiding citizens have nothing to worry about”.
They should take heed, much of the population is very angry as to the consequences of the Finance Act 2026.
I really wish this Government would check their wicked ways.
