Once again T&T have to start over after all the 2026 World Cup talk
Taking a very big gamble on the iconic Trini Legend Dwight Yorke
A real disappointing campaign in probably the easiest of the groups
Too cautious and too many draws by Dwight Yorke and his troops
The TTFA President disclosing it a Lara and Rowley appointment
Saying the coach’s performance was poor causing resentment
Was he sacked or was he pushed because of financial constraints
Bo was always so confident and very oddly never made complaints
If money was such a big issue for the TTFA in this sad impasse
How come He and others usually travelled up front in first class
So Dwight came in a blaze of publicity and gleeful excitement
But has now departed his position with less than contentment
So another rookie interim coach is now in charge of the whole thing
Which will prove a tough ask for the inexperienced young King
A real tough time now for Bo and his inexperienced Association
Let’s hope they learn soon and not heading for more Normalisation
T&T Football has sadly declined since the Glory of Germany 2006
And it feels like twenty years of going nowhere and getting licks
Then there was leadership, good coaching and proper finance
All have disappeared giving T&T a real big task and little chance
The future appears bleak as they all consider the strategy ahead
Let’s hope things change and they bring some more Glory instead
T&T was always such a powerful football force in the CONCACAF
But the decline is worrying and if it continues it will fall of the graph
It must be demoralising for the players who just want to go higher
And also the many youths who just want to just dream and aspire
There is a distinct lack of stars especially up front at number Nine
And no obvious development plan so overdue for such a long time
With a new inexperienced coach and a rookie President in charge
It’s not an easy road and the many problems now loom large
