There has been a third killing in Morvant within the past 48 hours.
The latest victim is Clarence Thompson, 57, of Chinapoo Road, Morvant. His body was discovered in bushes on Wednesday morning.
According to reports, gunshots were heard in the Morvant area sometime during the early hours of Wednesday. Relatives went to check on Thompson and reportedly found his home ransacked. Spent shell casings were also discovered on the floor.
The Morvant Police were contacted, and members of the Hunters Search and Rescue Team, led by Captain Vallence Rambharat, joined the search for Thompson.

During the search, bloodstained clothing was found in bushes behind the house.
A further search of the area eventually led to Thompson’s body. He was found naked and suffering from multiple gunshot wounds.
Homicide Bureau officers arrived at the scene and began investigations. The District Medical Officer ordered the removal of the body to the mortuary for a post-mortem. No one has been held, and no motive established.
Thompson’s killing was the third reported murder in the Morvant area in less than 48 hours.
On Tuesday, Tylan Hinkson, 22, of Redwood Street, Morvant, was shot and killed near Caledonia Road Extension.
On Tuesday night, Steve Griffith, 62, aka Steve Smith, was shot dead in a track along Cipriani Extension, Second Caledonia Road, Morvant.
Police believe all three killings were gang-related.
