Four Home Invaders were arrested in Wallerfield on Wednesday!

Officers of the Northern Division Task Force, the Inter-Agency Task Force, and the Home Invasion Team, arrested four suspects, including two juveniles, and seized a shotgun following a home invasion in Wallerfield on Wednesday.

The victim, a 28-year-old Venezuelan woman, of Demerara Road, Wallerfield, reported that at approximately 11:10 a.m., she was outside her home when she observed four men, one armed with a firearm, approaching through nearby bushes. She ran inside and secured the house. However, the suspects forced their way in by breaking down the front door.

The men reportedly announced a robbery, held the woman at gunpoint, and stole a quantity of jewellery, including a gold chain, earrings, a watch, and $5,000 in cash before escaping through nearby bushes. A report was made to the police.

An intelligence-led operation was subsequently launched within the Pinto district resulting in the arrest of the suspects. Investigations are ongoing.
