The body of a baby girl washed up on the shore at Los Iros, Erin on Thursday morning. On Wednesday night, the body of a man was found near the beach.
Police believe the baby was one of three persons missing after a boat capsized near the shore on Wednesday night. Two adults are still missing.
Captain Vallence Rambharat, leader of the Hunter Search and Rescue Team, confirmed that the child’s body was discovered along the shoreline at Los Iros Beach on Thursday morning, where search efforts have been ongoing since the vessel overturned.

On Wednesday night, a pirogue carrying 23 adult Venezuelan migrants and six children had reportedly capsized shortly after departing Los Iros Beach for Tucupita, Venezuela.
According to reports, the vessel encountered difficulty moments after leaving shore. Reports revealed that the pirogue collided with a rock before overturning, throwing all of its occupants into the sea.
Hours later, the body of an adult Venezuelan man was found floating at sea and brought ashore at Los Iros Beach. Police were notified of the discovery, and officers, together with the District Medical Officer (DMO) and other relevant officials, rushed to the scene. The DMO pronounced the man dead and ordered the removal of the body.
The search continues for the two other missing adults.
