Ever thought that another sports – All Fours – can earn that amount of money, like the English Premier League, the Indian Premier League, or the NBA.
Well, Minister of Trade, Investment and Tourism, Kama Maharaj, had other ideas during this recent trip to Canada.
Maharaj led a team of officials and members of the Trinidad and Tobago Manufacturers Association (TTMA) to Canada during the period August 27 and September 2.
He launched the Legacy Cup All Fours Competition, scheduled for February 12–14, 2027, in Trinidad and Tobago. That launch was held at Radica’s Hot & Spicy Restaurant in Brampton on the evening of Trinidad and Tobago’s 64th Independence Day – August 31.
Maharaj shared a brief history of All Fours and called for greater structure and higher prize incentives within the sport. He pledged his support for Dr. Jack Warner’s vision and thanked the Canadian diaspora teams for their participation and contribution to Trinidad and Tobago’s sports tourism sector. Would that mean we would see million dollar prizes in All Fours?
Minister Maharaj also discussed investment opportunities in fibre optics and the film industry. He reflected on his ties to the Canadian community—including his time at York University—and joined Legacy Cup Executive Director, Rachel Jeremiah-Marajh, for a game of All Fours before departing for the airport for his return to Trinidad.
Judging from his face, it would seem that Minister Maharaj got a “Hang Jack”.
