It took 20 years, but the Trinidad and Tobago Red Force team secured a commanding victory over the Guyana Harpy Eagles to win the West Indies Four-day Championship in Antigua on Wednesday afternoon.
The Trinidad and Tobago Red Force returned to the summit of regional red-ball cricket for the first time since 2006, dethroning three-time defending champions Guyana Harpy Eagles in the final of the West Indies Championship on Wednesday.

Red Force win by 141 runs

There were four captivating days of cricket culminated in the Red Force seam bowlers dismantling the Harpy Eagles to earn an authoritative 141-run victory at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in Antigua and Barbuda.
Thanks to a pulsating 122 from the out-of-form Evin Lewis, the Red Force team was always in command from the very first ball.
Lewis who has been struggling to find form and fitness, rose to the occasion with a flawless century and took away the fight from the Eagles. Set 281 to win on the final day, that was too much for the defending champions.
They folded up for just 139 in the second session, to surrender their title. Jayden Seales led the charge with three for 39 from 11 overs, while Terrence Hinds claimed three for 20 from seven overs. They were well supported by Anderson Phillip (2 for 63) and Joshua James (2 for 12).
