Divali came to Port-of-Spain on Saturday evening.
Thanks to Phillip Edward Alexander, Minister in the Ministry of Housing, Wild Flower Park, St Clair, was transformed into a sea of lights.
Hundreds turned out for the event with the lighting of the deyas just after 6 pm. Among those who turned for the event were Minister of Housing David Lee, Minister of Rural Development and Local Government, Khadijah Ameen, Minister of the Office of the Prime Minister, Darrell Allahar, Dr Colin Gosine, MP for Chaguanas West, Housing Development Corporation (HDC) Chairman, Feeroz Khan, and several members of the diplomatic corps.
There was entertainment for the crowd, including Drupatee Ramgoonai, and Chutney Soca Monarch, GI.
A group of Indian construction workers, turned up and had a good time, reaching on stage and dancing.
