A nation progresses when public service becomes a facilitator of growth rather than a barrier to it. Investors and entrepreneurs remember efficiency, speed, professionalism, and certainty, and they also remember delays, confusion, and frustration.
If Trinidad and Tobago truly wants diversification, investment, and sustainable jobs, then every state agency must understand that helping legitimate business succeed is not a favour; it is part of national development.
Trinidad and Tobago has enormous potential, talented people, strategic location, energy resources, creative industries, and entrepreneurial spirit, but potential alone does not build a modern economy.
A country grows when its institutions become efficient, responsive, predictable, and supportive of those trying to create jobs and opportunity. Businesses should spend their energy innovating and expanding, not fighting paperwork, delays, and unnecessary roadblocks at every turn.
