……as Evolution Creates a Revolution in Hospitality
Members of Team Sunshine made their way to Upper Tunapuna Road last Sunday to play a 13-table, 131-bullseye All Fours match against Evolution All Fours Club. The game was played at the Blackpool Sports Club, where the slightly cramped surroundings were perhaps the only negative that could be said about an otherwise enjoyable afternoon.
Evolution, however, provided a masterful display of how guests should be treated.
The game began shortly after 2 p.m. and, despite the harbingers of doom and gloom who had predicted an early defeat for Team Sunshine, this was not to be. At half-time, Team Sunshine led 65–50 in bullseyes and 26–19 in hang jacks.
The mid-game meal was then served, and Evolution’s menu surpassed in both quality and quantity all other All Fours meals in which Team Sunshine had participated. The impressive spread included fried rice, barbecue pork, barbecue chicken, barbecue fish, macaroni salad and a fresh green salad.
Team Sunshine members vociferously commended and applauded Evolution, not only for the excellent luncheon fare but also for the very reasonable prices of the beverages at the bar.
Following the half-time break and the usual team talk, the second half resumed, with Team Sunshine continuing to pummel Evolution from table to table with no let-up. At one point, Team Sunshine’s lead stretched to as many as 30 bullseyes.
Yet, despite the intensity of the competition, there was not a single dispute or disagreement throughout the match. It was the epitome of good sportsmanship and hospitality.
When the final card was played, Team Sunshine had secured a convincing 131–105 bullseye victory, while also taking the hang jacks 56–38. There was, understandably, a look of relief on the faces of the Evolution players.
Evolution continued its impressive hospitality after the match, serving pies and pholourie to the players, who mingled and socialised while the results were being reconciled.

Team Sunshine has also agreed to play a 12-table match against Young Stars at Shaw Park, Tobago, on Saturday, November 14.
